Sleep Well Press Release

Sleep Well Adds Home Furnishings

Nothing thrills me more than writing about our company growth.  Whether it was our second store in Carlsbad or our big move in Alamogordo.  Even the small news we have given throughout our two-year history thrilled me to write about. I mean basically, this company is our baby and we have been able to grow it, who doesn’t want to shout it out to the world.

Today I write a blog article on our next phase of growth, the new challenges we are about to start facing — the new opportunity to learn more.  Our company is moving towards a home furnishings provider.

Now let us be clear we will not be a furniture store.  We don’t like that title.  To us, a furniture store is a place where salespeople hang out at a counter and the minute the door chime rings the Jaws theme starts playing and the big fish fight the little fish for their next “ups.”  (Side note, did you know they call you that customer an Up? How the heck do you get someone to truly care about their clientele by calling them an Up…as in a reason to get up off the couch they are sitting on? Well sorry that was a bit negative, but my mind wandered.)…back to the article.

Our store will be a home furnishings provider.  Our customers are the ones who asked for the business to sway in this direction.  They wanted an environment where they could be consulted with, be spoken to (not down to), and be taught what the right product for them would be.  Case in point, We teach people about sleep, teach them about the mattress choices and help them find the one that is right for them, their health, and their budget.  Our friends see that with the mattresses and then wanted to see that with the sofas, their loveseats, and even their bedroom furniture.

At first, our response was, “but you don’t understand the time it takes to learn so much about our product.”

To which they responded, “But you don’t understand how much we would return to do business with you!”

And finally, our thoughts were changed (Fear of the unknown stops a LOT of us from achieving our goals).  We want to provide what our friends want, that is what made this company and what will continue to grow our company.

Sleep Well will be steering toward a home furnishings centered approach in earnest over the next few months.  We have started to dabble in carrying sofas and loveseats for months now, but our training in it has been limited, and our knowledge has been limited as well.

We have now found a dedicated furniture manufacturer who will be teaching us about materials, leathers, springs, foams, and all kinds of cool stuff that will help us provide you with the best answers to what would work best for your needs. It’s not easy to find a company that understands your needs for so much product knowledge.  Most companies want to sell you furniture and get on down the road.  When we met a sales rep that sat with us and showed up how to clean fabric, and how to adjust springs, we knew this company was the right one for us!

You’ll be seeing plenty of changes over the next quarter.  I say next quarter because we don’t just roll out things without being able to give you quality answers and products, and that takes time.  We do ask for your patience, but also promise to give you excellent answers to all your questions, and promise to continue to teach while we provide you the best products you need.

Feel free to leave any questions about our changes below in the comments section.  Come see us and check out the changes as they happen.  Share this article if we have helped you in the past and look forward to having other friends find the products they need as well!
