News Release – Sleep Well Announces New “Sleep Well Cool Sleep Certification”

Sleep Well announces our new Cool Sleep Certification. “We wanted to take the guesswork out of our customer’s shopping experience. We had several comments made by customers wanting to know which beds would help them sleep better without overheating, so we came up with the certification program” – Owner Javier Casillas.
Here’s how the program started- we first asked our existing manufacturers for information regarding the materials on their “Cooling” mattresses. When we received the information from the manufactures, we noticed a whole bunch of hyped materials that when researched were not notated for having great heat and sweat wicking properties. At this point, we realized we were just as confused as our customers, so like Sleep Well does…we researched and researched. What we found were several great mattresses that are constructed out of great heat and sweat-wicking materials, items like latex, tencel, and Omniphase change coatings and materials. We added new vendors to our line up, reduced others, and purchased several new models for both our stores that have proven heat and sweat-wicking properties, i.e. “cooling.”
How we choose what to call “Sleep Well Cool Sleep Certified”- Any mattress we label with the Cool Sleep Certified signage must have at least two proven materials that help with heat and sweat. Materials like latex, which is proven non-heat conducive nor does it absorb heat. Fabrics like Tencel, which is thinner and many times more breathable than cotton. A “Cool Sleep” Mattress is going to help our customer experience a mattress that will not overheat during their sleep. It will be a mattress that is dispelling the heat, by drawing it away from their body, along with sweat and moisture.
Now keep in mind that any mattress whether it is “Cool Sleep Certified” or not, will start out at room temperature. The difference occurs when you’ve laid in it for a while and heat starts to build up. Great materials allow the heat to sink away from you, not stay right up close to you. Proper airflow allows for heat to draw away quickly. A certified mattress will draw the heat, let the air come through, and let you sleep much better because there will be significantly reduced heat to deal with.
We at Sleep Well take our responsibilities to our customers very seriously. We hope this new certification helps. Our job finding new products to help you sleep better and longer never ends, you’ll witness that every time you come in by all the new products we keep cycling through just trying to find the perfect fit for you!
